The State Of The Trade : by Semtex.

Len Martin is a good man, as was the UCG's predecessor Dizzy. But the support that they have had in the past however, was just not enough. As Honest John and Anon 4.05 in the comments on the previous post point out, it's too late to sit down with this lot.

As far back as 2010, I myself am on record as warning of "The Men" and we as a trade have sat back and allowed the shysters to do us good and proper. Yes, our trade made a noise last week, yes it was supported and yes it made our point.

But has the horse bolted ?
Only time will answer that question sure enough.

Hendy, Daniels and Emmerson would be on huge bonuses if I had been Boris. They are a hairs breadth away in successfully carrying out the fatal assassination of the great London Taxi Trade, to the letter, and exactly as planned.
Boris wouldn't agree that they have failed London, he would say that his troops have done exactly as briefed.

You will get some of our colleagues saying that they will fight till they die, be the last man standing, have to be dragged out of their cabs at gunpoint, etc etc etc.
All very patriotic and commendable, of course.
But wars are won using strategic planning, stealthy movement and professional capability.

More than that though, most of the great military campaigns were won by using strategic deception, and TFL have been masterful in this ruse against our trade.

I agree the battle isn't over yet, but I get dreadfully frustrated at how we have been not only led, but guided down the path of deception by TFL, who only ever wanted to kill us from day one.

Im not sure of the answers at this stage, and hope somebody in our trade with more knowledge than me, can lead us out of the other end to victory. Let's see and hope.
