We would like to see the Police enforcing the Highway Code against Cyclist that fail to observe the Highway Code i.e. failing to stop at red traffic lights, driving up one way streets the wrong way and driving on pavements. Also the amount of cyclists who ride at night without reflective clothing or lights is a danger to other road users, motorists and pedestrians. Currently the police are seldom seen to take action against this type of offence.
Cyclist be required to displayed a Registration Plate on the Cycle for persons of 18 years old and over.
Why is this important?
As the number of Cyclist increase in London so does the number of cyclist failing to observe the Highway Code. This is a danger to all road users and pedestrians alike. The only way I see to reverse the constant law breakers is to Registrar the cycle so that it can be traced by the Police and action taken against the driver.
